Yesterday Wayne and I were privileged to attend the Tynwald garden party ( Tynwald is the government of the Isle of Man, its the oldest government in the world, & was founded by the vikings over 1000 yrs ago) its kind of like the Queens garden party but for people here on the Isle of Man. There was a big marquee with lots of fancy finger food, bands playing and everyone in their best attire! very posh!! Here are Wayne and I.

So proud of my Son

Last weekend we went to Chester to see My Son Nathans final degree show. I can't believe that that he has finished his 3 year Art degree already! He is waiting for his results now so fingers crossed he gets a 2.1 as then he has a place at Liverpool University to do a Masters degree in Art history and curation
Here is Nathan with his exhibit all on a theme of blue as a melancholy colour and loneliness.

Fabric Hearts

As You may already know I love Hearts, so really enjoyed making these fabric hearts for a craft fair I was doing. They went so well at the fair, I had to make some more this week. The striped ones have been really popular...which one is your fav??

Wet Felting

At last I got to try wet felting! I have tried needle felting in the past, but not wet felting.
There was a craft day, organised by the WI today, and I was able to go.
It was run by a lovely woman called Sarah, who explained it all very well.
My friend Natasha and I had great fun, whilst most people were just doing one colour with a few strands of another, we had to try to do something more creative!
My fav one is my poppies one, I think I am going to add a few more embellishments and then may frame that one!

Well we are back from our week in Spain! It was a lovely week that flew by.
The Villa was lovely, although the boys would have preferred a heated pool!


We stayed near to L'Ametlla De Mar, which has a lovely harbour.
On the Tuesday we set off on the train to Barcelona, it was a 2 hour train journey and then we had to negoiate the Metro system, which we did! The high light was the Gaudi Sagrada Familia, it was Amazing! I have never seen stained Glass like it, we were all impressed. then we took the Metro to the shopping area and I just loved the Architecture ! we shopped and ate then had to get the train back.
The next 2 days we spent at Port Aventura, a big theme park, which we all thoroughly enjoyed, even the shows were good!

Viva la Espana!

So we are off to sunny Spain for a weeks holiday, we are so ready for a real get away holiday. We are going to L Ametlla de Mar , south of Barcelona, and we have a lovely villa with a pool to relax by. We will be about 30 mins away from Port Aventura, which is a big theme park, so that will keep the boys happy(and me!) for a couple of days :0
