Beach Clean

I am so proud of my 17 year old Son and his friends....On Saturday 18th September, they did a sponsored Beach Clean. This was to raise funds for Oliver's impending trip to Nepal. He is going out there with a charity to work in the Orphanage at Pohara, for 2 weeks.
Despite pouring rain they walked the length of Ramsey beach, which took them 3 hours, picking up any rubbish. They unbelievably collected 20 bags of rubbish!! now not all of this will be local rubbish, the tides bring in stuff from all over.
I just think it was a wonderful thing they all did to help raise money for Oliver's trip, but also to help the local community at the same time.....see teenagers aren't all that bad!

Birthday and Rhinomania

Yesterday (2nd) was my Birthday and I had lots of lovely cards and presents and sooo many birthday wishes on facebook and twitter, I feel I have extended family and friends all around the world, I am truly blessed :)
Waynes pressie was a Chamilia bracelet and a few charms, which I have wanted for a while, I can now add charms to it. Of course the colour scheme I have chosen is purples!

We have just been away over to England to Nottingham to visit family and friends, and whilst we were their, we took a fast train to London for the day, and went to see the Lion King, which was amazing! we did lots of shopping too.
We then went to Chester for a few days, which is where our eldest Son is at Uni. There is a display of Rhinos all over Chester,called Rhinomania! and Nathan, our Son, was lucky enough to be one of the artists involved.
