A fan

I am starting a new craft group in the WI that I am in, as there isn't one. There was quite a good response, and I needed to find an easy first project. So I thought we would make fans, this is my attempt, I am looking forward to seeing how the group gets on with it!

Back from trip

Thanks for all your good wishes for our trip, we had a lovely time. We went to the Lake District for the first day and night, staying with our friends Ian and Helen, in their cottage near Penrith. The boys wanted to go Kayaking in the afternoon (Ian has his own kayak), so we went to one of the lakes, and Toby, Ollie and Hubby had a go- they all had a great time! Nathan and Toby built a rock mountain by the lakeside.
Weds morning we set off for Chester, took us about 2 hours, then after checking in the hotel, it was off to Cheshire Oaks, a big outlet village, after much shopping it was time for dinner, then off to the cinema. Thurs we went to the zoo, then into Chester, which is an old Roman town, we shopped in the old town centre,the shops date from the 1600's as you can see from the architecture, we walked the walls, Chester still has the old roman walls,then dinner, then back to the hotel for a swim. Friday was more shopping, visiting a craft centre for me, then lunch, then we dropped Nathan back at his University and headed back for the ferry home!
I think we packed a week into 4 days!!

Just to let you know I am away until next Saturday,
We are going to England to take our eldest back to University, and we are going to stay there, in Chester, for a few days, and do all the sight seeing stuff we haven't had time for before.

I managed to have a" play" today, I got some ATC's done for a swap on www.atcsforall.com, called all bottled up, great fun!

Picnics and fun times

I haven't got much art done this week, but have had some lovely family times. The boys are off school for Easter and the eldest is home from University. On Sunday the sun was shinning, so we took the opportunity to go for a picnic.We went to Silverdale Glen, one of the national Glens on the Island. After our picnic we went for a stroll along the river, and Oliver (16)just had to try to cross over, well, he made it across ok, but coming back was different, he spent ages (he always was an action man), moving boulders to make a bridge back, and off course, just as he got it in place his leg slipped and he got wet!! We thought it was really funny, which watching from the bank it was !!

I finally got a painting finished. Things have been so busy around here lately!
Someone asked me to do a bag for her Grandaughter, and wanted green colours, and music, so this is the painting I will take the print from. This then is now in my etsy shop.
